Stacey Harper Background and brief synopsis

Stacey began bowling at age 4 in Los Angeles, California where she received her first trophy. She has never missed a winter season in 31 years, and only missed 2 summer seasons.

She started bowling in Miami in 1978 when she was 12 years old. She bowled in every junior state tournament from ages 15-18. She was captain (1981-84) and highest average (1980-84) for American Senior High School and made the Herald All-Dade Team for Bowling (1984).

She has been married for almost 14 years to Harold Harper. She has two daughters, Alyssa - age 12, and Michele - age 5. Both of her girls have been bowling since they were two years old, and they love it.

She has worked in the Greater Miami Bowling Association office since May 1986, and has been a director on the board since 1995. She has been a league officer for five leagues, since the 1989-90 season. She has been at Miami-Dade Community College, Kendall Campus, since 1993 working with computers and Internet web site development.

She has been a member of the Greater Miami Bowling Association for seven years and a member of the Greater Miami Women's Bowling Association from 1984 to 1995. She participated in the GMWBA City Tournament (1991-1995), the GMBA City Tournament (1994-present), The Florida State Tournament (WIBC - 5 times, ABC - twice), WIBC Nationals twice, and ABC Nationals 5 times. She has been a member of five tournament organizations: Dade County All Stars (1986-present), South Florida Masters (1984-1987), Greater Miami 600 Club (1988-1995), Lady Floridian (entire duration) and The National Bowling Association (1994-1995).
